Beautiful Savior Our Redeemer Lutheran has two church campuses. One is in central north Houston near Airline Drive and West Little York. The other church is in Spring, Texas just off Aldine-Westfield Road near Cypresswood Drive. We are part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).
What we believe
• We believe the Bible to be Holy and without error.
• We preach Jesus Christ crucified for our sins and raised again on the third day.
• We preach that Jesus is the only name under Heaven given to man whereby he must be saved.
With the universal Christian Church, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: The Father, creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God. Our congregations accept and preach the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
Our services are traditional Lutheran with familiar hymns plus sermons and Holy Communion. Services follow a structure and addition to singing, there is also some chanting. After each service, we have announcements about the church. Our bulletins include a full page of prayers to friends and loved ones.
Our worship includes two sacraments - Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. The sacraments hold a significant place in Lutheran theology. They are regarded as sacred rituals that symbolize and convey God’s grace to believers. Baptism and communion are the two sacraments recognized by Lutheran churches, and they hold great importance in the life of a Lutheran believer.
